Abstract

Objectives: To find out association between helicobactter pylori and non ulcer dyspepsia. Study Design: Prospective Setting: Allied and
National Hospital Faisalabad. Materials & Methods: A total of 154 patients with dyspeptic symptoms were included in the study. 54 were
excluded from study at later stages. All the patients were scoped and biopsied after carefully examination. Urease test was performed.
Results: The results revealed that 154 patients were included in this study. Out of 100 patients (52%) were urease positive for helicobacter
pylori and 65% showed the organism on histological examination. Conclusions: There was a definite association between socio-economic
status and H.pylori infection. The status of H.pylori infection compared well with other well documented studies in patients with dyspepsia.
