Abstract

PAF Hospital Rafiqui is situated about 130
kilometer east of Faisalabad. It is an agricultural
area and insecticides are frequently used to save
crops. So in the season of cotton, rice and
sugarcane we receive cases of insecticide poisoning
off and on.
It may occur following absorption via the
gastrointestinal system, respiratory tract or skin.
Deliberate or accidental ingestion is common
mode of poisoning. Insecticide poisoning with
suicidal intent is common in this part of Pakistan
because of its availability in every house.
